From November 12th to 13th, 2022, the founding ceremony of the University Branch of the Sichuan Discipline Inspection and Supervision Society & The First Longhu Pragmatic Administration Forum was ceremoniously held at the Shizishan Campus of Sichuan Normal University. The forum was hosted by the Sichuan Discipline Inspection and Supervision Society and Sichuan Normal University, and organized by the University Branch of the Sichuan Discipline Inspection and Supervision Society, and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision School of Sichuan Normal University. Professor Tian Xuemei, Professor Gao Zengan, Professor LiChunmei, Lecturer Kang Li, and Lecturer Jing Xingwei from the Pragmatic Administration and Governance Research Center of our University, as well as 7 doctoral students and masters students were invited to the conference.
On November 12th, the University Branch of the Sichuan Discipline Inspection and Supervision Society convened its first general meeting of members (representatives) where the first council members were elected, professor Tian Xuemei was elected as the deputy president and served as the host of the pragmatic administration forum’s sub-forum. Professor Gao Zengan was invited to act as a commentator for the sub-forum and made wonderful comments on speeches at the forum. At the sub-forum, various faculty members made keynote speeches. Professor Li Chunmei focused on the construction and development of the Pragmatic Administration and Governance Research Center of our University, Lecturer Kang Li focused on the legislative methods of the “Regulation on the Implementation of the Oversight Law of the People’s Republic of China”, and Lecturer Jing Xingwei focused on the recognition of the culture of integrity. Doctoral students Yu Yudan, Lou Gao, and Deng Chao made exchange speeches on family-style corruption, precise supervision, and institutional anti-corruption respectively.
On November 13th, under the arrangement of the organizer, faculty members and students of our School arrived in Xindu District, Chengdu to visit the Tianfu Family Customs Museum. Through appreciating exhibition boards, physical objects, images, and scenes, faculty members and students carefully learned about the excellent family custom stories of ancient historical and cultural celebrities, revolutionary ancestors, and role models of the times, and acquired knowledge and education from the excellent family custom culture.
At this forum, the organizers organized experts to conduct quality reviews and political reviews of the participating papers, and selected 12 first-prize winning papers, 12 second-prize winning papers, and 16 third-prize winning papers based on preferential orientation. Among these papers, a total of 5 participating papers by faculty members and students of our School won the first prize. The University Branch of the Sichuan Discipline Inspection and Supervision Society highly praised the outstanding results of our School’s paper collection and organization, and presented the commendation in the form of a document.
It is reported that the following personnel attended the forum through online and offline forms. These personnel included: The heads of the Campus-based Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Sichuan Provincial Supervisory Commission of 56 colleges in Sichuan, the Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the heads of the integrity and pragmatic administration and related research institutions of the member colleges, professionals engaged in discipline inspection and supervision and related discipline research as well as the practice of discipline inspection and supervision in colleges, and more than 160 leaders and comrades from Honesty Outlook magazine, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, the CPC Chengdu Dujiangyan Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Chengdu Dujiangyan Municipal Supervisory Commission, the CPC Yibin Xuzhou District Commission for Discipline Inspection and Yibin Xuzhou District Supervisory Commission, and Guang’an Deng Xiaoping Cadre Academy.
