On February 17, 2022, the Education Working Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Sichuan Province announced the results of “Man of the Year” for ideological and political education work in 2022. The two faculty members of our school, Xie Yu and Liu Feng, stood out from numerous outstanding educators and were awarded relevant awards and nominations.
The selection of “Man of the Year” for ideological and political education work aims to enable colleges and universities to fully study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the the 2nd Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee. Colleges and universities shall continue to learn and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on education, and strengthen their specialization and professionalism of ideological and political education work force. Faculty members should be motivated to keep practicing the mission of “educating talents for the Party and the country”, undertake the fundamental task of cultivating virtuous future generations, innovate ways and methods of educating students, and enhance their role of mentors for students in learning and the manner of dealing with matters and people.
