At 15:00 on June 24th, the School of Marxism held a Grand Gathering Celebrating the Centenary of the CPC and 2019-2021 Advanced Party Organization Creation and Outstanding Party Member Development Commendation Rally in the lecture hall on the third floor of Canteen One on the Xipu Campus. The participants were Liu Zhanxiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Marxism; Lin Bohai, Dean of the School; Xiong Yu, Deputy Secretary of the School CPC Committee; Huo Zixiang, Deputy Dean;, Li Xueyong, Deputy Dean; Xie Yu, Deputy Dean; Ran Mianhui, the CPC Committee member, and all Party members of the School of Marxism. This rally was hosted by Deputy Secretary Xiong Yu.
After everyone rose and sang the national anthem, Dean Lin Bohai announced the commendation decision and pointed out that all Party members of the School should take the award-winning comrades as an example, taking their own responsibility, advancing courageously, and making contributions to the construction of the discipline and the development of the School. Then, the leaders of the School awarded the winners of outstanding Party branches, outstanding individual Party members, and outstanding Party workers.
Later, Professor Yang Huan, the representative of advanced grassroots Party organizations, gave a speech. He appreciated the CPC Committee and fellow branches for their support and recognition, and reported on the achievements of the branch in the past two years. He proposed to build an excellent Party branch in our School that was always ready for hard work. After that, the outstanding individual representative Professor Ma Xianrui shared his experience. He told about the glorious traditions of the ancestors and the historical mission that the students learned in television drama The Awakening Age and proposed that we should hold the torch of our predecessors and continue to move forward.After the representatives finished speaking, Secretary Liu Zhanxiang congratulated the award-winning comrades and described the honors won by the CPC Committee of the School of Marxism in the past two years and the achievements of the discipline construction. He pointed out that the development and progress of the School required advanced collectives and advanced individuals to lead all professors and students. Secretary Liu also put forward three suggestions to all Party members. Firstly, Party members should teach politics with a clear-cut stand; secondly, Party members should make selfless dedication; and thirdly, Party members should strive to improve their abilities.
In the end, the commendation rally came to a successful conclusion with all the people standing up and singing the national anthem. Congratulations to all award-winning Party branches and outstanding Party members. They are expected to continue to play the leading role of Party members, further improve their personal and academic qualities, and drive more Party members to contribute to the construction of the School.
